This project dates back to 2015, when unknowingly at the time, I was entering a period of depression - unaware that I was coming to the end of something important in my life and consequently not knowing where the hell I was heading or doing.
Looking afresh at these images, I better understand what I was trying to achieve - capturing those intangible feelings that swamp and take over your mental space. They remind me of being lost in what was a familiar world, becoming mute in my ability to express myself, and not having a single answer to anything that once made complete sense.
To those who are expereincing such feelings, hang in there.
It will pass.
You will grow because of it.
You will experience joy again.
For now, if you're finding life hard to deal with, turn your experience into a journal or expressed in whatever artistic medium you prefer, so that instead of trying to keep your feelings bound tight in the dark, you can get closer to them, and better understand why you feel the way you do and the choices you can make to make the necessary changes.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in
